for Ed Zickus
Food Industry Veteran and
President of Solutions with EAZ.
- 1962
- Ed starts
out in Grand Rapids, Michigan working for a wholesaler.
- 1965
- He moves
to a HBC broker covering Michigan and Indiana and represents leading
brands, including Tampax, Ex-Lax, Aqua Net, and others.
- 1967
- Ed relocated
to Dallas, Texas to open the Southwest-based office.
- 1968
- Wilkinson
Sword hires Ed, and he moves to Chicago to take over the Midwest office
a year later. When Wilkinson sold its sales/distribution rights to Colgate,
Ed moved relocates to New Jersey as the only retained employee and became
National Sales Manager for Wilkinson's Garden Tools / Specialty Products.
- 1972
- Ed is
hired by Rival Pet Foods as Northeast Region Manager.
- 1975
- After
Rival is purchased by Nabisco in 1974, Ed becomes Eastern Sales Manager
for the Sun Diamond Growers cooperative (Sunmaid Raisins, Sunsweet Prunes
and Juice, and Diamond Walnuts).
- 1999
- Ed, now
V.P. of Sales (Eastern Division), retires from Sun Diamond and becomes
a consultant.
Regions covered
during his 24 years with Sun Diamond included the Eastern U.S., and all
of Canada and Puerto Rico. Ed's responsibilities included broker representation,
regional manager hiring & training, headquarters responsibility for
A&P (Grocery and Produce), Winn-Dixie (Grocery and Produce), and major
involvment with all key accounts in the Eastern U.S.
Ed is now
available for selected consulting assignments.
